Talk Series on Battery Energy Storage Systems and Their Benefits to Nepalese Industries
The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), through its Energy Development Council (EDC), organized a CNI Talk Series on “Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Their Benefits to Nepalese Industries” on 24 July 2026 at the CNI Secretariat.
The session featured Mr. Hu Ziming, Senior Solution Manager, Energy Storage Solution Department, Huawei, as the resource person. He provided insights into Battery Energy Storage Systems, their applications, operational benefits, and their potential to support Nepalese industries through improved energy reliability, efficiency, and enhanced power management.
CNI President Mr. Birendra Raj Pandey emphasized the need for industries to adopt new and emerging technologies to strengthen their competitive advantage. He highlighted the importance of looking beyond immediate benefits and investing in technologies that offer long-term value and sustainability for Nepalese industries.
CNI EDC Chair Mr. Ashish Garg highlighted the importance of adopting BESS technology in Nepal, particularly in the context of the country’s persistent challenges related to power outages and the need for reliable energy solutions for industries.
The session brought together more than 40 participants from the industrial and business community. The event concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to Mr. Ziming by the CNI President.
